How to Say OK in Chinese

1. 好
pinyin. hǎo literal. good liberal. ok
In Chinese, 好 literally means good. So why do we use 好 to express OK in Chinese? This is because, by saying 好, you’re saying that “oh, this is good”, meaning “yes this is ok with me”.
2. 好的
pinyin. hǎo de literal. good liberal. ok
Basically, 好 and 好的 both mean OK in Chinese. Here 的 de is a 语气助词 yǔ qì zhù cí Modal Particle, and it is used to emphasize affirmativeness. So if we have to tell the difference between 好的 and 好, 好的 is more affirmative than just 好.
3. 好啊
pinyin. hǎo ‘a literal. good liberal. ok
好啊 means the same as 好 as well. Just like 的, here 啊 is also a 语气助词 yǔ qì zhù cí Modal Particle. But 啊 is used to soften the language, making it sound nicer or more polite.
4. 好的啊
pinyin. hǎo de ‘a literal. good liberal. ok
So we have 好, 好的, 好啊. Why is there one more 好的啊? Here 的 and 啊 means the same thing as mentioned above. With both of them used in the expression, 好的啊 means that you are both very affirmative, and also using a nice tone.

5. 行 / 行啊
pinyin. xíng ‘a literal. can liberal. ok; alright
行 literally means can, by saying 行, you’re actually saying “that’ll work for me”. Also if you want to soften the language, add 啊 at the end.
6. 可以 / 可以啊
pinyin. kě yǐ / kě yǐ ‘a literal. can liberal. (that will be)ok; alright
可以 means can, meaning it is possible or allowed to do something. And with 啊 added at the end, 可以啊 is a nicer and softer way of how to say OK in Chinese.

好说 is an interesting expression to say OK in Chinese. Here 好 means “well” or “easy”, 说 means “to persuade“. So 好说 is like you’re saying “oh, it’s totally OK with me, you don’t even have to persuade me or anything“. And by repeating the expression and saying it twice, you are placing emphasis on it.
9. 包在我身上
pinyin. bāo zài wǒ shēn shang literal. wrap (the responsibility) on my body liberal. leave it to me
