HSK 3+ Conversational Practice

In this part of the lesson, we will be practicing the vocabulary and grammar that we've learned in Lesson 42.1 and Lesson 42.2. There are two separate conversational practice:

  1. CONVERSATION → 《丈夫的生日》
  2. STORY TELLING →《新的一年》

INSTRUCTIONS:

丈夫：Today how-come you made (one) “ge” (of) cake?

妻子：Today is your birthday, me and daughter together made (one) “ge” (of) cake to wish you happy birthday! How-come you forgot (it) (your)self?

丈夫：(If) you (did) not say (then) I really (would) forget it. Thank you and daughter still remember!

妻子：I know you (in the) recent-times that “ge” (of) project (is) very important. But you also need to rest more, if (you are) too tired. be-careful (that your) body (might) appear problems.

丈夫：(I) know. This “ge” (of) problem (is) not difficult, (it) mainly “is because” (that we have) encountered several “ge” (of) problems (that) still (have) not (been) solved. (The) company’s coworkers all are(,) working-hard(,) thinking-of methods, I (-) (my) heart-inside also (is) impatient(-and-)anxious.

妻子：Slow(ly) doing (it) (does) not work?

丈夫：I heard (that) other companies also all are trying to do this “ge” (of) project, (the one) who completes (it) first, (will be the one) who “then” develop faster.

One Year (That Is) New

Colleagues:

Today is Year 2025’s first Friday, we again greet-arriving one new year. Thanks (to) every “ge” (of) person (who) comes to join this “time” (of) meeting, I want to first wish everyone happy new year! This one year (of) the-past, everyone for-the-whole-time all are(,) very working-hard(,) doing(-the-)job, so I want to say to every one, “(Thank you for your) hard work!”

(In) this one year inside, we together(,) very well(,) completed several “xiang” (of) very important work, (at the) same-time, (we) also quick(ly) solved several “ge” (of) very complicated issues.

In (the) new one year inside, (the) company again has several “ge” (of) new projects, (I) believe (that) these several “ge” (of) projects will for us bring-arriving bigger progress. Furthermore, (I) hope (that) everyone can be like this year, passionate(ly) work, happi(ly) live-life. We work-hard together! Thanks!
