3. 过去 guòqù · OLD HSK 3 / NEW HSK 2

n. (of Time) 时间名词 shíjiānmíngcí ▸ the past; the period before the present (different from “now and future”)

  • Guòqù, wǒ de gōngzī shuǐpíng bù gāo.
    过去,我的工资水平不高。
    (In the) past, my salary level (was) not high.
  • Nǐ liǎo bu liǎojiě tā de guòqù?
    你了不了解他的过去?
    (Do) you know-well his past?

v. 动词 dòngcí ▸ (for time) to pass

  • Shí duō fēnzhōng guòqù le.
    十多分钟过去了。
    More than 10 minutes (have) passed.
  • Chūntiān guòqù le jiù shì xiàtiān.
    春天过去了就是夏天。
    (After) spring passed (it will) “exactly” be summer.

(1) v. 动词 dòngcí ▸ to have a traffic jam; to be in a traffic jam

  • Shàng xià bān shíjiān, nǎ tiáo lù dōu dǔchē.
    上下班时间,哪条路都堵车。
    (During the) time (that is) going-to (and) going-off work, all “tiao” (of) roads all have-traffic-jam.
  • Rúguǒ nǐ kàndào dìtú shang nǎ tiáo lù shì hóng sè de, jiù shì nàr zài dǔchē de yìsi.
    如果你看到地图上哪条路是红色的,就是那儿在堵车的意思。
    If you see which “tiao” (of) road (on the) map-surface is (something that is of the) red-color, (it) “exactly” is (the) meaning (that) there is having-(a) traffic-jam.

(2) Detachable Compound 离合词 líhécí ▸ to have a traffic jam; to be in a traffic jam

  • Lù shang dǔ le liǎng ge xiǎoshí chē, suǒyǐ wǒ jiù chídào le.
    路上堵了两个小时车,所以我就迟到了。
    (On the) road-surface had (a) traffic jam (of) two “ge” (of) hours, so I “then” arrived-late.
  • Zhè tiáo lù dǔ bu dǔ chē?
    这条路堵不堵车?
    (Does it) have (a) traffic jam (on) this “tiao” (of) road?

  • Zhǐyào ná de dào qiānzhèng, wǒ jiù yào qù nàr lǚyóu.
    只要拿得到签证,我就要去那儿旅游。
    As-long-as (I) have-the-potential-to-be-able-to get (the) visa, I “then” intend-to go there to travel.

    孩子十岁生日那天,父母为他办了一张银行卡。
    (On) that day (when it is the) child(’s) 10 years birthday, (the) parents for him got one “zhang” bank card.

 

8. 出国 chūguó · - / NEW HSK 2

(1) v. 动词 dòngcí ▸ to go abroad; 离开自己的国家到别的国家去

  • Wǒ zhè cì chūguó shì wèile cānjiā yí ge huìyì.
    我这次出国是为了参加一个会议。
    I this time go-board “is because” (it is) for taking-part-in one “ge” (of) conference.
  • Chūguó de shíjiān yuè jiǔ, jiù yuè xiǎng huí jiā.
    出国的时间越久,就越想回家。
    The longer (the) time (is that I) go-abroad, the more (I) want-to return home.

(2) Detachable Compound 离合词 líhécí ▸ to go abroad; 离开自己的国家到别的国家去
