HSK 3+ Conversational Practice

In this part of the lesson, we will be practicing the vocabulary and grammar that we've learned in Lesson 20.1 and Lesson 20.2. There are two separate conversational practice:

  1. CONVERSATION → 《想弹什么就弹什么》
  2. STORY TELLING →《三年级的作业》

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Learn
    1. Listen and repeat along with the video
  2. Practice daily - the most important part for achieving fluency
    1. Spend 10-30 minutes per day reading the lesson materials aloud (with or without the video)
    2. Practice conversations and stories from previous lessons too

1. CONVERSATION

(If You) Want To Play “Whatever(/Anything)”(,) “Then” (You Can) Play “Whatever(/That-thing)”

弟弟 Little brother 哥哥 Big brother

弟弟:Big-brother, my electric guitar how-come suddenly (does) not-have (any) sound (anymore)?

哥哥:Bring (it) over (here), I (will) help you check “really quick”. Here (has) not (been) turned-on, you see, “once immediately after” (it is) turned-on(,) “then” (it) has sound.

弟弟:Thanks(,) big-brother.

哥哥:You (in) recent-times (-) play guitar play-(to the degree:)-how-is(-it) (now)?

弟弟:(The) requirements (that my) teacher for me (are) relatively high, (and they) let me every day practice two “ge” (of) hours, but I every day all (do) not play (with the result of) (it) being-enough time.

弟弟:If (it is) like-this, (at the) time (when my) hand-inside (does) not “exist” (a) guitar, (I) even-also can go “wherever(/any-place)” (and) “exactly” at “wherever(/that-place)” practice.

哥哥:Right! (It) “exactly” is (like) this! Here(-where) I(-am) additionally “exists” not just-a-few guitar videos, if (you) need (them,) I can send (them) to you (to) watch “really quick”.

弟弟:Then (it is) so great! (The) songs (that) I want to learn (-) “there” “exist” very many!

哥哥:But (do) not (do it like so:) (you) like “whichever(/any-one)” “shou” (of) song “then” immediately learn “whichever(/that-one)” “shou” (of song), start learning from (the) ones (that are) easy, (in the) future “then” learn ones (that are) difficult.

3(rd) Grade’s Homework

Classmates, these (on the) blackboard-surface are (the) words (we have) learned in Lesson 11 “inside”, (there are) altogether ten “ge” (of them). Today’s homework has two “ge” (of it), one “ge” (of it) is to make sentences, one “ge” (of it) is to write (a) Chinese small story. (The) requirements of making-sentences are: first, (you) should use hands to write Chinese-characters. Second, (you) cannot make sentences (that are) too simple, you-guys are already 3(rd) grade students (now), (you) should make sentences (that are) comparatively complicated, so, every “ge” (of) sentence should (be) written (with the result of) (it) being-enough (of) fifteen “ge” (of) characters “(and only with that condition-)then” (it) works. Third, (the) sentences need to (be) (by your)selves thought-up, (and) (by your)selves written, if I see “whichever” two “wei” (of) students (have) made the-same sentences, then these two “wei” (of) students may need to come to my office (and) explain clearly why. (And) Chinese small story, you-guys want to write “whatever(/anything)”(,) “then” (you) can write “whatever(/that-thing)”, (at the) time (of) writing (there) only “exists” one requirement, (and it) “exactly” is (that) (the) story-inside should use these words, everyone can use “whatever many” “ge”(of words,) “then” use “whatever many” “ge” (of words), ten “ge” (of them) all (being) used is the-best.
