Hello, i cant actually find 0 (zero)
Zero is “Ling” 零 But your comment was from 2020, so you probably already know by now
谢谢
你好, Lily! How to say “zero” in Chinese? Like in the phone number, for example.
零ling (zero)
零(ling2) means zero
but usually you will find this 〇 (ling2)
also means zero but it’s informal
Really enjoying the lessons so far, very helpful
In 1 and 5, are you actually pronouncing the initial “y” and “w” at all? I can’t hear even a hint of them. I checked some other youtube videos for comparison and 1 always sounds like “ii” and 5 like “uu”. Would it sound strange if I pronounced them as “yii” and “wuu” with an audible Y and W?
Please refer to our Pinyin lesson on Zero Initials “y” and “w”
