CHINESE NUMBERS 1 to 10 to 100

Chinese Numbers are very easy. 1- 10 are all one-syllable words, and if you know how to say 1 to 10, you can say 1 to 99 almost automatically. In this lesson we'll learn how to say numbers in Chinese from 1 to 100 in 15 minutes.

  • STEP 1 - Chinese Numbers 1 to 10: 一 二 三 四 五 六 七 八 九 十
  • STEP 2 - Chinese Numbers: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90
  • STEP 3 - Chinese Numbers: 11-99

零ling (zero)

零(ling2) means zero
but usually you will find this 〇 (ling2)
also means zero but it’s informal

In 1 and 5, are you actually pronouncing the initial “y” and “w” at all? I can’t hear even a hint of them. I checked some other youtube videos for comparison and 1 always sounds like “ii” and 5 like “uu”. Would it sound strange if I pronounced them as “yii” and “wuu” with an audible Y and W?
