Hi teacher,
I’m concerned with the order of the sentence. Could you tell me what is the right order if I want to say that “He doesn’t want to work at the school”?
1. 他在学校不想工作
2. 他不想在学校工作
1. 他在学校不想工作 means “He(,) at school(,) (does) not want to work” (perhaps he does want to work somewhere else; perhaps being at school makes him not want to work)
2. 他不想在学校工作 means “He (does) not want to work at (the/a) school” (he does not want to work as an employee at the/a school)
Hope this clarifies the differences between the two sentences.
