[2021 New HSK] Supplement Lesson 01: Vocabulary
In 2021, the new HSK added many vocabulary and other language skills that are not included in the old HSK.
ChineseFor.US has since added 10 new HSK supplement lessons to make sure that the 2021 new HSK 3 requirements are all covered. (More lessons in this series will be published soon.)

Will there be a computer based exam for HSK 3.0? My personal learning goals currently do not include hand-writing, however I am wondering if this will be needed for the new HSK.

There used be computer based exam for the old HSK. However, with the new HSK requiring students to hand-write characters, there probably will be some writing section involved.
In the past the HSK test certificate shows the student’s score of each section, for example for reading, listening, writing and then the total score. So if you’re not taking HSK for employment purpose or college enrollment purpose where they require certain percentage of score for each section, it is perfectly fine to skip the writing part if you just want to take the HSK so that you know your current level.
