In Chinese, the bigger place goes before the smaller place. Therefore when we want to say the address of a building or a community, we usually say its number on the street. We follow this structure:

STREET NAME	NUMBER ON THE STREET	BUILDING/ COMMUNITY NAME [can be omitted]
jiē ……街 street	hào ……号 number	……
lù ……路 road	hào ……号 number	……

(1) Street Name + Number On The Street

Wǒ jiā zhù zài Yúnyuǎn Jiē qī bǎi ’èr shí bā hào.
我家住在云远街728号。
My family lives at Yunyuan Street No.728.
Wǒmen gōngsī de dìzhǐ shì Zhōngshān Běi Lù wǔ shí sì hào.
我父母家小区在汉高西路982号。
Our company’s address is Zhongshan North Road No.54.

(2) Street Name + Number On The Street + Building/Community Name

Zhè tái bīngxiāng qǐng song dào Chángyùn Jiē shí liù hào Qīngfēng Dàlóu.
这台冰箱请送到长运街16号轻风大楼。
This “tai” (of) refrigerator (-) please deliver-(with the result of)-arriving Changyun Street No.16 Qingfeng Big-Building.
Wǒmen gōngsī de dìzhǐ shì Zhōngshān Běi Lù wǔ shí sì hào Hóngyuán Shāngzhù Lóu.
我们公司的地址是中山北路54号红元商住楼。
Our company’s address is Zhongshan North Road No.54 Hongyuan Commercial-Residential Building.

Grammar 2. 中文地址 - 房号

Zhōngwén Dìzhǐ - Fánghào ▸ Address in Chinese - Apartment/Room/Suite Number

In China, the majority of people live in high-rise apartment buildings instead of single-family houses. And For business address also. The majority of offices are also located in high-rise office buildings.

Therefore, when we want to say a detailed address in Chinese with the apartment, room, or suite number, we follow this structure:

❖ Please be careful with these following usage restrictions:

both 层 and 楼 can be used after "……栋"
only 层 can be used after "……号楼" to avoid repetition of using 楼 twice

她是我们的新邻居，住5号楼10层1018号。
She is our new neighbor, (and she) resides-at Building-No.5 10th-Floor No.1018.
Wǒ xué tiàowǔ de jiàoshì zài ’èr dòng liù céng liù líng sān shì.
我学跳舞的教室在2栋6层603室。
(The) classroom (that) I learn dancing is-at Building-2 6th-Floor Room-603.

(2) Building/Community Name + Building # + Floor # + Apartment/Room/Suite #

Zhōng Yīshēng de bàngōngshì zài Jiànkāng Yīyuàn Dàlóu sān dòng shí jiǔ lóu líng ’èr qī hào.
钟医生的办公室在健康医院大楼3栋19楼027号。
Doctor Zhong’s office is at Health Hospital Big-Building Building-3 19th-Floor No.027.
Wǒ měi ge zhōumò dōu zài Xí Lǎoshī nàr shàng shùxué kè, tā jiā zhù zài Liànjiā Xiǎoqū yī dòng jiǔ céng jiǔ líng sān shì.
我每个周末都在习老师那儿上数学课，他家住在恋家小区1栋9层903室。
I every “ge” (of) weekend all take math class at there (where) Teacher Xi (is), his family lives at Lianjia Residential-Community Building-1 9th-Floor Room-903.

Grammar 3. 中文地址 - 街号 + 房号

Zhōngwén Dìzhǐ - Jiēhào + Fánghào ▸ Address in Chinese - Building/Community Number On The Street + Apartment/Room/Suite Number

We can also add the street number and room number together. Just remember that in Chinese, the bigger place always goes before the smaller place. So for a full address we say it like this:
