• Dàjiā dōu zài nǔlì zhǔnbèi zhè cì bǐsài.
  大家都在努力准备这次比赛。
  Everyone is working hard to prepare (for) this “ci” (of) game/match.
• Nǔlì le jǐ nián yǐhòu, tā xiànzài de shēnghuó yuè lái yuè hǎo le.
  努力了几年以后，他现在的生活越来越好了。
  (In the) time (that is) working hard (for) a few years, his life now (has become) better and better.

(1.2) Detachable Compound 离合词 líhécí ▸ to make great effort; to try hard; to work hard

• nǔ yì bǎ lì
  努一把力
  to work hard (for) one “ba”
• nǔ yí xià lì

  (The) little brother (is) the same hardworking with (the) big brother.

• Zhè míng qiúyuán de nǔlì ràng dàjiā yòu kàndào le xīwàng.
  这名球员的努力让大家又看到了希望。
  (The) effort of this “ming” (of) player made everyone saw hope again.
• Jīnnián gōngsī de gōngzuò zuò de tèbie hǎo, wǒ yào xièxie dàjiā de nǔlì!
  今年公司的工作做得特别好，我要谢谢大家的努力！
  This year (our) company’s work (was) done very well, I should thank everyone’s hard work.
