Don’t forget this “ge” (of) new word’s meaning.
Fēnshǒu yǐhòu, wǒ huì wàngjì nǐ.

(In the) time (that is) after breaking up, I will forget you.
❖ In the second sentence of the following group, both 了1 and 了2 are used.
Wǒ wàngjì nǐ yǒu zhè ge ’àihào le.
Wǒ wàng le nǐ yǒu zhè ge ’àihào le.
我忘记你有这个爱好了2。
我忘了1你有这个爱好了2。
I forgot (that) you had this “ge” (of) hobby (already).
❖ 了 at the end of the sentence can sometimes takes on both the meaning suggested by 了1 and 了2.
Zhè zhǒng huā de míngzì wǒ wàngjì le.
Zhè zhǒng huā de míngzì wǒ wàng le.
这种花的名字我忘记了1+2。
这种花的名字我忘了1+2。
This type (of) flower’s name (-) I forgot (already).
❖ Because of the use of 了1+2, the following sentences are all correct:
Wǒ wàngjì guān diànnǎo le.
Wǒ wàng le guān diànnǎo le.
Wǒ wàng guān diànnǎo le.
我忘记关电脑了2。
我忘了1关电脑了2。
我忘关电脑了1+2。
I forgot to turn off (the) computer (already).
❖ 味 can also be used independently.
Hi,
not sure I understood the concept of 永远 as a noun here.
we are forever friends would mean forever is used to describe the friendship therefore is an adjective.
Saying we are good friends of Forever, would mean we impersonate Forever (as if it would be a God) and we are friends of it…
Same comment for the second example where forever is actually an adverb for the verb love. And not that we love someone that would be called Forever.
Could you please elaborate and give more examples ?
Sorry for the confusion. In Chinese, noun (phrase) can be used to modify a noun (phrase) and can also be used to modify a verb (phrase). In these cases, a noun (phrase) is used as an attribute, or an adverbial, but it maintains as a noun (phrase).
